Admission requirements

Candidates should possess a Bachelor Degree with honors not less than 3.0 CGPA in a related Engineering field or equivalent degree or any other qualification that may approved by Senate from time to time.

Applicants with a Bachelor degree less than 3.0 CGPA (i.e. between 2.7 – 2.99) are required to fulfill at least ONE of the following criteria:

  • Working experience in related field;
  • One (1) ISI publication;
  • Scholarship holder;
  • University of Malaya graduate.

 Language requirements

Candidates should possess atleast IELTS Band 6 or TOEFL 550 if 1st degree is obtained from University where English is not the medium of instruction or Pass the English profiency test approved by the University.

Master of Renewable Energy 

The Master of Renewable Energy program, which is a matching programme for the Master of Energy Science from Kyoto University, Japan under the UM-Kyoto University double Degree MoA, offers to produce expert in the field of Renewable Energy among local and international students.

PEO 1 Knowledgeable and skilled of application in the field of renewable energy.
PEO 2 Able to communicate and lead effectively teamwork in solving issues related to the field of renewable energy in creative and innovative way
PEO 3 Realizing the needs of critical thinking and lifelong learning in self-development and development of the country.
